Who we are
What the app keeps, and where
Your jobs, customers, time, quotes, invoices, payments, expenses, mileage, photos, receipts, to-dos, your business and bank details, your logo and your settings.
- On your iPhone.
- In your own iCloud account, if iCloud backup is on: in a private folder that only this app can read.
We have no server and no account system. We never receive, see or store your data, unless you send it to us yourself (for example by email or a shared file).
What goes to other companies
- Apple: the addresses you type or save, and the maps you look at, use Apple Maps (to find addresses, put them on the map and measure driving distances). iCloud backups are stored by Apple in your account. Apple’s privacy policy covers these.
- Expo: app updates are downloaded from Expo, the service that delivers them. This shares your phone’s internet address, a random install number, the app version and, after a crash, the error message; not your data.
- Apps you choose: when you tap Directions, Call, Message, Share or Add to calendar, what’s needed goes to the app you pick (for example, the address to Google Maps).
- Nothing else: no tracking, no adverts, no analytics, and nothing is sold.
Your customers’ details
You add customers’ names, phone numbers, emails and addresses for your own business. You decide what to keep and for how long (for example, to do and invoice the job, and for your tax records). The app only stores them for you, on your phone and in your iCloud.
Permissions the app asks for
- Location, while using the app: to find addresses, show how far away jobs are, and for My location when you place a pin.
- Camera and photos: for job photos, receipts and your logo.
- Calendar: only when you tap to add a job date to it.
- Notifications: for reminders and break reminders.
You can change any of these in iPhone Settings.
Deleting your data
- Delete everything, in the app under Account › Help & your data › Privacy & terms, removes all your data from your iPhone and the app’s backups in your iCloud. Events you added to your Calendar stay there; delete them in Calendar if you want. If another iPhone or iPad also backs up to the same iCloud, delete it there too.
- Deleting the app removes the data on the phone. The iCloud backups stay until you delete them in the app or in iPhone Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage (they may be listed as Time in Pocket or jobwright).
Terms of use
- Figures are estimates. Tax to set aside, mileage claims, profit, reports and all other sums are worked out from what you enter. They are a guide, not tax, legal or financial advice: check with your accountant.
- Your records are yours to keep. Keep iCloud backup on, and export a backup file now and then (Account › Settings › Backup).
- We work hard to keep the app accurate and reliable, but we can’t promise it is free of mistakes. Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps also applies.
- These words may change with an update. The date at the top shows the latest version; the same words are in the app.
